Powerboats from across the country compete one-by-one against the clock on a measured course, reaching incredible speeds — some over 200 mph. The event includes vendor villages at Dog Days, live entertainment, and opportunities to meet the race teams. The Shootout is also a massive fundraiser for Lake area fire departments, marine rescue teams, and numerous charities through its 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
