🚧 Coming Soon: Tucker Entertainment Complex at Bagnell Dam
George Tucker — the restaurateur behind Neon Taco, Malted Monkey, Tucker's Shuckers, and Franky & Louie's — is building a massive five-level, 18,000-square-foot entertainment complex right next to Bagnell Dam on the historic Strip. Expected to open in 2026, this venue will feature:
- Lower two levels (lakeside): Two pools, three bars, swim-up service, full food menu, and boat docks at the 0 Mile Marker. Tucker has hinted at a Mediterranean Greek restaurant on this level.
- Middle two levels (indoor): "Happies Social Club: Premium Dive Bar" — a year-round lounge and gaming space with servers, food, and drinks.
- Rooftop: A cocktail and appetizer bar with spectacular views of the Lake and Bagnell Dam.
The pools and rooftop will be seasonal, while Happies Social Club will operate year-round. Boaters will be able to access the complex at 0 MM, and the venue connects to Neon Taco via a boardwalk. Tucker has described it simply: "There's nothing really like it. It won't be just another bar in town." We'll add a full listing once the venue opens — stay tuned!
Final Thoughts
As we reluctantly doggy-paddle our way to the end of this aquatic culinary adventure, remember that Lake of the Ozarks isn't just a body of water — it's a lifestyle, a state of mind, and apparently, one giant buffet with a really big pool. Whether you're looking to sip cocktails in a cave (because why not?), float through a five-level pool amphitheater at Level5, devour nachos next to a pirate at Captain Ron's, or simply float your cares away while nibbling on gourmet nibbles at Lazy Gators, the lake's got you covered — and probably a little sunburned.
So next time you're in the area, dive into these waterfront wonders. Just remember: no running on the deck, no diving in the shallow end, and for the love of all things buoyant, don't forget to wait 30 minutes after eating before swimming.
Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm off to practice my cannonball — I hear it's the best way to get a table at Backwater Jack's on a busy Saturday!
